Apple Watch Band Compatibility Guide
Apple groups its connector lugs into two width categories. Matching these correctly is the only technical decision you need to make before ordering.
Small Case — 38mm, 40mm, 41mm, and Series 10 42mm: any of these sizes use the same connector width. The newer Series 10 42mm uses the small connector — this is different from the older Series 1–3 42mm which uses the large connector. Check which generation you own before ordering.
Large Case — 42mm (Series 1–3), 44mm, 45mm, 46mm, and 49mm Ultra: all of these use the wider connector. This group includes the Apple Watch Ultra 1, Ultra 2, and Ultra 3. See our dedicated bands for the 49mm Ultra case if you own an Ultra model.

Apple Watch Strap Sizing — 38mm to 49mm Explained
- Apple Watch bands are sold in two size groups based on the lug width of your watch case. You do not need to measure your wrist to choose a band size — you only need to know your Apple Watch model.
- Series 1 — 38mm (small connector) or 42mm (large connector)
- Series 2 and 3 — 38mm (small) or 42mm (large)
- Series 4, 5, 6 and SE (1st gen) — 40mm (small) or 44mm (large)
- Series 7, 8 and 9 — 41mm (small) or 45mm (large)
- Series 10 — 41mm (small) or 46mm (large).
Note: the 42mm Series 10 uses the small connector despite the "42" size designation — different from the older Series 1–3 42mm.
- Apple Watch SE (2nd gen) — 40mm (small) or 44mm (large)
- Apple Watch Ultra, Ultra 2, Ultra 3 — 49mm (separate wider lug)
