Best Strap Materials for the Apple Watch Ultra

FKM Rubber (Fluoroelastomer): the premium active choice for the Ultra. FKM resists UV radiation, saltwater corrosion, extreme temperature fluctuations, and chemical exposure without picking up lint or dust. Can You Use Standard Apple Watch Bands on the Ultra?

Standard Apple Watch bands (38mm, 40mm, 41mm, 42mm,44mm, 45mm, 46mm) are not directly compatible with the Apple Watch Ultra's 49mm lug width. The connector width is wider on the Ultra — a standard band's spring bar will not seat correctly in the Ultra lug without a physical adapter.

Some aftermarket adapter plates allow standard bands to be fitted to the Ultra case. These typically work by bridging the lug gap, but they add visible bulk at the lug connection and are not recommended for high-activity use where the strap bears load.

The cleanest solution is an Ultra-native band designed for the 49mm lug from the outset — which is what every strap in this collection is.
